J GROUP (J Group Corporation) was established in 1961, as a locally based sewer, water and stormwater civil construction and sub-divisional contractor. Over the past 52 years, J GROUP has earned widespread acclaim and recognition as one of the leading civil infrastructure construction companies in NSW. With a history of major projects successfully completed throughout Northern & Southern NSW Sydney, Illawarra and Blue Mountain areas, J GROUP quickly developed a reputation for delivering on time and within budget. J GROUP has worked hard to achieve and maintain a reputation for excellence in all of its civil construction, engineering and trench less activities.
During the period 1970 to 1988, J Group Corporation was the principle contractor for Penrith City Council delivering sewer, water and stormwater infrastructure contracts in conjunction with Gutteridge Haskins & Davey Pty Ltd as the Penrith Council consortium. The infrastructure installed ranged in size from 150mm to 1.8m diameter and depths from 600mm to 10m. J GROUP used technology for micro tunneling due to the mountainous terrain to ensure alternative methods for our client. Ground conditions ranged from sand to rock. The infrastructure was taken over by Sydney Water in 1988. These long-term multi million contracts contributed to the long-term viability of the area, helping to develop the area from farmland to a genuine residential and commercial precinct. The installed infrastructure will be long remembered in the areas local history.

By the mid 1990's, J GROUP expanded its operations to the steel cement lined pipe manufacturing and live drilling. J GROUP was providing not only sewer, water and storm water infrastructure works but also pipe material infrastructure. During this time J GROUP gained accreditation for its Quality Assurance and OH&S Systems, establishing strong principles for its workforce.
Today, J GROUP is an industry leader providing project management, maintenance services for water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure, including associated civil rehabilitation and lining works, road construction, land subdivision, bulk earthworks and demolition.
J GROUP's clientele includes NSW Department of Commerce, NSW Department of Housing, Landcom, Local NSW Councils, Mirvac/Lend Lease, Stocklands, Australand as well other major construction companies and developers.

Our civil construction teams are highly skilled, experienced and versatile with a long history and a great track record in work on sewer rising mains, carrier mains and reticulation networks as well as excavations and trench protection innovations for work associated with micro-tunneling, horizontal boring and rock mattress protection, large scale civil’s and demolition. Over the years our teams have developed expertise with concrete structure construction and installation such as box culverts and maintenance shafts.
